Question from Meghan: “So I’m dying to know if anyone has some advice on the new Canon EOS 6D???? I just read a review and it sounds amazing and affordable! Thoughts? Experience with it vs. the 5d mark iii???? “
Tommy: MK III has way more AF points, better ISO handling, better video, and a better processor (I think). 6D has Wi-fi capability which is only useful if you’re shooting tethered in a studio space.
Meghan: When I posted this question I didn’t realize that the 6d wasn’t coming out until December. So I’m sure many people haven’t had any “experience” with it yet. But still curious what others are thinking about the reviews
Tom: I was comparing these two the other day. Reading the specs, I think the main diff is the # of AF points. The 6D only has 11!! It also has 2MP less than the 5d.
Tom: I think it’s best to wait until reviews start appearing. The Mk III is simply stellar, so I’m sure it’ll end up being a trade-off on features vs. the price differences.
Ashley: I just bought a Mark 3 and I freaking love it!!!! I know this was a bad comment since I have no clue about the 6D.
