Question from Mollie: “For those of you who provide images digitally: JPEG or TIFF? I’ve always done JPEG but I sat in a class recently that said to provide TIFF?”
Cate: what is the difference?
Christian: Always jpeg unless otherwise requested. If they request Tiff, they know why/how. Most people just want to upload to Facebook and jpeg is perfect.
Elisha: Jpeg
Mollie: (My Question) TIFF is WAY bigger and I’ve heard is better for printing/enlargements. But where I’ve been able to fit a LOT of large JPEGS on a CD, I can only fit like 28 TIFF images. Just curious to what others use.
Alex: I use Jpeg
Ellary: Jpeg
Jen: Jpeg
Jen: JPEG for domestic clients, tiff for commercial (if they specify). Tiff is great for when they want a big file, but you don’t want to give away raw files
