Question from Jesse: “Im New To Professional Photography & Dont Know Which Editing Software To Get. Also Something Thats Not Terribly Hard To Use! Advice Is Greatly Appreciated! Thanks”
Tami: Photoshop elements.
Brian: Lightroom
Vasthy: Definitely start with Photoshop Elements 10
Brandi: Elements for sure!!! I have 10 and wish I had it years ago
Melissa: I would start with Lightroom. I almost wish I had never used Photoshop so I was forced to really learn LR.
Michael: Lightroom 4, then Elements or Photosho
Cassandra: Lightroom!!
Tracey: I have elements 9/10 and lightroom3. I say go with lightroom. If you can get the “student”version it is the same as the full addition for about hundred dollars cheaper at least..
Cheryl: Lightroom and look up b and h I got my copy for $79.00 plus shipping
Ashley: I would say light room as well.
Suz: Lightroom
Tia: I don’t know anything about LR, but Photoshop Elements 10 is very powerful and has a large learning curve (for someone who is new to editing). Whatever you choose–Add You Tube to your favs and allow it be your guide. A class/seminar on your choice would be the next best thing.
Denise: I have Photoshop Elements 10. Its as complex as you need it to be. I found that it has both basic, elementary functions (one click corrections) and more advanced options without having to have a textbookk to just open it
Geneva: As you can see Lightroom gets lots of votes. It really is a great tool because you can upload, tag, sort, color correct and such right inside of it. We begin all of our post production in Lightroom and really only use photoshop for harder things like the occasional hard to fix acne issue.
Tracey: I am with Geneva. I use PS to correct acne.. Also if you plan on using any presets you can load and save very easily in LR
Christina: I love to use Lightroom!
Heather: Try the trial versions of Lightroom and Elements from Adobe!
Chris: Photoshop elements 9 or 10 in conjunction with Picassa has worked well for us.
Leigh: i have always used ps. lots to learn but i could not do without layers!
Mollie: Adobe Bridge is fantastic for sorting, renaming, etc. But for editing I use photoshop. (Bridge also opens/edits RAW photos, and I’m assuming this is something it can do on its own.)
Natalie: Rad lab is the raddest ever! It runs in PS though
Susie: Love knight room!
Pat: Lightroom is my favorite. Also, Portrait Professional is good. You just have to be careful not to over do your editing with it.
