Question from Amy: ‘question… I have been soo lucky in my newly established photography business, thank goodness, and I have never had impending rain affect an upcoming session. What should I do? Reschedule? work around it? thanks…”
Heather: Living in Florida we get lots of unexpected showers. So if its an on location shoot I have on my contract “weather pending” so I always reschedule if I am not happy with the conditions/safety issues etc.
Stephanie: Talk to your clients… Maybe they’re adventurous and want to try a rain shoot! 🙂 If not, then it’s best to reschedule maybe the night before/day of (after talking to them about it, of course… Don’t reschedule out of the blue!)
Brian: Make sure you have a clause in your contracts concerning weather. It’ll make rescheduling a little easier, because they already agreed to it when they signed it.
