Question: “Can anyone recommend a good continuous lighting set up? I have a natural light studio set up mostly for newborns, but on rainy days like today I am going to need something to make up the difference for no natural light.”

Mindy:   I would like to hear others thoughts on this!

Shannon: me too!

Brian: I’ve used just a white umbrella and left the modeling lift on but turned down as low as mine goes

Raine: this is what I want……exp for newborns.http://www.fjwestcott.com/products/array.cfm?catname=spiderlites&head=td5&tbl=td5new

Shelia:  I use 2 softboxes, med. size octagons, with 5 of the 5500 bulbs in each. I can switch on or off how many of the bulbs I need if I don’t need all of them going at the same time. As far as brands go, it just depends on your budget. try searching B&H – I’ve spent a lot of $$ there over the years and have never been disappointed.

Amy: check out discount tommy

JC Photography: *modeling LIGHT not lift lol

Jessica:  I too use natural light when I can but have 2 small soft boxes and a reflector that I use on cloudy days. I want to upgrade my lightning to the same that raine posted but am worried about overloading my circuit.

Bobbi-Alan: Jessica – what soft boxes do you have?
