I just wanted you to know that I did get your [email/message/text] requesting raw images, and I wanted to take the time to send a thoughtful reply.
Though it may not seem like a big deal to send raw photos, you’ll actually be hard pressed to find a photographer who’s OK with doing so. The main reason, and this is true for myself, is that each photographer’s editing technique plays just as big of a role in their aesthetic as snapping the images themselves. And though the editing process can certainly be long-winded, it’s one of my favorite parts of my job.
Sending raw images makes me feel like I’m not fulfilling my duties as your photographer, and it also feels weird to not put my “editing stamp” on every image I take. I hope that makes sense!
