What should you be doing in your biz this week?

Re-release all of your old albums to your clients! It’s never too late for them to order pictures to give to grandma! Do they love the session you took over the summer, but never got the chance to order an album? Lucky for them, you just reminded them!
Contact your previous clients. Are they looking for unique gifts? What about gift cards? These can help you get extra cash! Do they know someone about to have a baby? GIFT CARD, maternity or newborn. Do they know someone with children? BOOM, GIFT CARD! Who doesn’t like pictures of their kids?
- Something I have done in the past (for wedding photographers) is to contact moms that have contacted you before. They are already going to have to spend the money on a photographer for the wedding, why not gift it for the bride for Christmas? This saves the mom money because she doesn’t have to spend money on the photographer AND on a Christmas present. Two birds–one stone, my friend. This also brings you in some extra cash before the holidays!
Interested in photographing secret proposals? Tis the season…to get engaged… with Christmas and New Year’s Eve around the corner, many couples are about to get engaged, make a post on your site letting the guys know that you are available to help capture the special moment!

Some things to think about:

Are you seeing all of this cute Christmas stuff and thinking how good it will look in your pictures? Don’t get ahead of yourself and spend a ton of money! This is the same stuff that will be on MEGA sale the week after Christmas, saving you more money! And come on, who doesn’t like to save money?
Do you have clients that love your work and keep coming back? Are you giving them any incentives to book for next year?
- A great way to do this is to give them a print credit with their session or money off any session they book and pay for by a certain date. This makes them happy because they are saving money, and makes you happy because you are making money!
- Were you pleased with how your business was marketed this year? Have you thought of ways to better market your biz next year? This is the time to start brain storming and thinking of promos!
Have you started thinking about Valentine’s marketing materials? Now is the time to be getting those ready to be blasted out the first week of January.
