Worlds are colliding here, people! Today I’m sharing images from an incredible shoot I just had with [Mom] where we turned a regular maternity session into a boudoir shoot. We took this session to [location], which ended up being the perfect location. I especially loved the [the modern furniture/the vintage-inspired furniture/the soft light/etc.], which we were able to incorporate seamlessly into the images and worked perfectly with [Mom]’s outfits.

I’m still on a high from photographing [mom], who’s [number]-months pregnant with her little one and looking straight up gorgeous! We headed over to [location] in [city], where we were able to utilize [tons of natural light/a gorgeous backdrop of trees/the funky art installations/etc.]. Needless to say, from the location to the clothing to the light and beyond, every element came together to make for some incredibly beautiful images.

I was so excited to meet up with [Mom] and [Dad] at [location] for a stunning – and terribly sweet – maternity session. At the time, [Mom] was mere [days/weeks] away from giving birth, so you can only imagine how she was feeling while we were roaming around finding the best spots to shoot! We all know that Mom and her baby are the stars of the show when it comes to a maternity session, but there’s no denying the sweetness of having the entire family in the frame, too. I love capturing the raw, candid moments between parents and siblings, and pressing pause on a moment in time that would otherwise go by so quickly and without preservation!

I love that my job as a maternity and newborn photographer keeps me on my toes. Sometimes I’m roaming around in the great outdoors – which has me literally rolling on the ground getting the best shots – and sometimes I shoot in the private sanctuary of my studio, where the lighting is always perfect and there are zero distractions from the rest of the world.

My recent maternity shoot with [Mom] was the latter scenario, and it was a downright therapeutic session. The studio was quiet and calm, and I was able to capture some insanely gorgeous images (it helps that [Mom] is such a babe).

Today I’m sharing a preview of the newborn session I recently had with [baby’s name], who was welcomed into this big world on [date] to [Mom] and [Dad]. As you can imagine, Mom and Dad are equal parts exhausted and delirious with their sweet baby [boy/girl], and I feel so lucky to have been given the chance to be a (small!) part of their parenthood journey.
