Newborn Nursery Mini Session
Parents spend a lot of time decorating their nursery, so help them show off their creative efforts and their precious newborn with this session. Have mom or dad holding the newborn in a chair, or near the crib, and you can also take a picture of the newborn in their bed and get a view that shows their whole room. Another idea is you could take a picture of them on their changing table getting dressed or changed.
In‐Home Lifestyle Mini Session
This setting should ideally take place in the client’s home, or perhaps a close family member’s home, and the idea is to take candid, real‐life images. For
example, photograph their daily newborn routine such feeding, bathing, rocking them to sleep, and baby snuggles.
Milestone Mini Session
Set this up in the studio, outside, or in their home. You would photograph all the milestone months (3, 6, 9, one year), but the sessions would be 45 minutes to one hour long instead of the standard three to four hours.
Newborn Details Mini Session
Take a picture of all the little details, including: eyelashes, ear, nose, lips, fingers, toes, and hair. Ask the parent if there are any features they really love and make sure to get some really excellent ones of that. At the end, you can make a picture collage of all the details.
Newborn and Me Mini Session
You can set this up in your studio, at their home, or at an outside if the weather is OK for a newborn to be outside. You can offer parent and newborn, sibling and newborn, grandparents and newborn, godparents and newborn, pet and newborn, and more.
