Last week we talked about some tips on booking a wedding photography inquiry. This week we are going to go over some more tips.
Most couples after they go back and forth with some emails with you think they might be ready to book, but some may still be unsure. You need to give them reasons for being 100% sure. You need to give them incentives. Contrary to what you may be thinking, the incentive doesn’t have to be a discount. Check out some ways to help make them want to book with your company:
Remember, you are a limited commodity. You can only shoot one wedding per day. Do you have other inquiries for the same date? Now is the time to let the potential couple know that. If they are getting married a year from now and don’t see a real rush in booking your services, they will take forever. However, if someone else is looking at their date, they are going to feel more of an urgency to book right away.
Did you recently have a price increase? Let the couple know that if they book within a certain time frame that will guarantee this season’s prices. Tell them that you just increased your prices, but since you already sent them a quote, if they book within the next two weeks, you’ll let them keep those rates.
Are you planning on having a price increase? Even if you’re not increasing them right now, you more than likely will sometime in the future. Letting a client know that your prices will soon be increasing is a good way to push them to book sooner, rather than later.
Give them a discount if they book on a deadline. I know I said that it doesn’t have to be a discount incentive, however, if you are willing to discount, you can say something like, “I just wanted to let you know that if you book within the next 48 hours, you’ll receive 10% off your package price.” If you’re really trying to book this wedding, this is a great way to do it. It gives them both an urgency and incentive to book now.
Remember, if you want a bride to book with you, there are 4 main components:
- They have to love your work.
- They have to trust you.
- They have to be ok with the price you’ve offered them.
- They have to have great customer service and communication.
