Question from Rebecca: “Looking for some inexpensive, but super fun/creative backdrops, especially ones that can be used for big groups! =) TIA!”

Heather: Bits & Bobs Galore – A Photographers Prop Haven

Dena: Photo Prop Floors and Backdrops

Shannon: Buy fabric 🙂

Brooke:  Sometimes a fun backdrop isnt something you have to buy. Depending on your venue, an aged wood fence or wall, a brick wall, these have proven to be my best backdrops (if you are lucky and have access to something like this…)

Sasha:  I love LemonDrop Stop :: Backdrops and Floordrops because they are matted. ALWAYS make sure they are matted. I bought one from somewhere else and its glare city. I can’t even use it.

Melanie: I bought a flat king sized sheet to use as a backdrop for a portrait assignment I’m doing in a course and I really like it! It’s not large enough for a group, but for individuals. Groups? I like Brooke’s suggestions.

Valerie: I’ve used table cloths, sheets, gift wrap taped to the wall…

Jessica: Joann fabrics

Christina: i used a large sheet that i tie dyed

Christina: I like to do large groups outdoors. I never use a backdrop for groups. But if I had to, I would use my white vinyl backdrop that is HUGE. I purchased it from Denny manufacturing I believe. GREAT QUALITY!

Christina: Also it’s a great idea to network with other photographers near you because sometimes you could borrow a backdrop from one another
