Question from JC Photography: “Any advice on the best ways to network/reach local customers? Other than facebook?”
Morgan: I love “rep cards” The way mine work, I give either a mini session, or a half off full session away! Then, that girl will get 15% off session fee cards with her best images on them. For each session booked via her rep cards, she gets a credit…she can then build up credits to either a print, a session, whatever 😉
Patricia: I bought a tire cover and airbrushed my logo and info on it. I’ve gotten business from. I also hand business card everywhere…restaurants, where i get my car serviced, and stores
Cate: I am having the same issue but I found out that telling EVERYONE you are a photographer really helps. All your work friends, mom friends, kid friends, leaving your card with your tip at restarants, if you see an ideal senior client asking them to email you for a session, just pimping your card and page out. Give it a month or two and things will upswing! I also suggest getting a good relaitonship with a local photog who has taken off and really pushing hard FOR them… so work for them, volunteer for them, be dependable for them, because when they pay you back.. its AMAZING.
