Instagram Hashtag Tips:
- You can only hashtag up to 30 things on a post, but that doesn’t mean that you always should.
- Write a heartfelt comment about the image as the caption. Then comment on the picture to add your hashtags, that way everyone is not just seeing the hashtags.
- If your couple has their own hashtag for their wedding, don’t forget to put that on your photos of that wedding, so that people searching for their wedding photos will see yours.
- You can literally copy and paste our list of hashtags below. You can paste them into the Notes section of your phone for easy reference to copy and paste from. Just be sure to delete out hashtags that don’t apply to your business, event, or session at the time. Also, remember to change the location and add the venues (see tip below).

Always remember to hashtag #yourlocation #yourlocationphotographer #yourlocationwedding. This will help people within your location to find your page. For example, #indianapolis, #indianapolisphotographer or #indianaphotographer. Also, hashtag the venue and hashtag and @ any vendors that were a part of that wedding day. If you’re located in one area and are trying to break into a new area, be sure to hashtag that new location, as well. For example, if you want to shoot in Chicago, #chicagophotographer or #chicagoweddingphotographer.
