I like to have my subjects do things that create movement and attitude in my images. For example: telling their sibling a secret, twirling, walking away from me while holding hands, running towards me, and kissing their sibling on the cheek. Giving just those simple directions – I can get multiple looks!
During this session we played ring around the rosy and baseball.
The violin sisters did not want to kiss each other! Instead, they laughed and laughed – those images were better than a kissing one!
At the session the girls played the violin for me.
Tips to Getting the Shot – Part 1
My name is Chanelle – I’m the owner of Harps and Fire Photography. I’m a natural light photographer based out of San Jacinto, California. I specialize in children with a side of families and grandparents. I’m a pretty darn good wife and enjoy being a Mama to 5. Although, I do have permanent mommy brain! Photography found me in 2013 and keeps me grounded. My middle daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma – photography is very personal and meaningful, it’s my therapy!
