Question from Cassandra: “What’s your favorite lens to use for a portrait shoot?”
Nicole: 50 1.8 and 85 1.8
Abby: 50mm f1.4
Corinne: 50mm 1.8
Amber: I have a 7D, so I use my 30mm f1.4. With the crop sensor it ends up being equivalent to a 48mm. 🙂
Julie: 50 1.8
Hal: I use a 35mm for closer shots and 50mm for the full photos
Cristna: 50 1.4 and 35 1.4
Shanyn: 50 1.4 85 1.8
Amy: 50mm!
Kelly: 50mm1.8 and 100mm
Fabiola: 55mm
Sadie: I have a Sony and Minolta lens which is 50mm 1.7
Colleen: 85 1.8 and 70-200 2.8
Sheila: 70-200
Michael: 50 1.4 on a 7D
Christy: 70-200 2.8
Donna: 50 1.2 and 85 1.2
Tanya: 85 1.2
Michelle: 50 1.4 and 85 1.4. I see that some folks use the 70-200mm. I have one of those, too. I should bring it along one day to see what I yield!
Sondra: most of the time I use my 18-55mm but for close ups with less background I go for the 55-200mm. I have also noticed I get more detail with the 200mm, but I have to have a good amount of space for this lens, and my home studio is very small so it can sometimes hinder my range.
