Question from Cathy: “Does anyone know of an adaptor or a way to turn a tripod into a reflector holder? I have a great tripod (which I hardly use) and I really don’t want to purchase a reflector stand.”
Erricka: Have you tried using a backdrop clamp? If it is a tripod with a base that is adjustable, that should work well since you would be able to tilt the reflector in any direction.
Steve: You can by various clamps made to fit certain tripods…I just use a bulldog clip…cheap and works!
Rebecca: This is an awesome questions!! And Steve- where do you get one of those? TIA!
Nicole: I believe they make an adapter for your tripod to hold it and a reflector arm is aka a telescopic arm to hold the reflector. Try searching your favorite camera equipment stores with that search term you should be able to find it
Christy: The arm I have fits the standard screw on a light stand. I’m sure it would fit on the tripod too. They make adaptors if the screw is not the right size.
Emily: Go to a Home Improvement store and buy “clamps.” They’re usually about $1 or less, and they work GREAT. I have a billion that I use for all kinds of things.
Steve: Bulldog clips are avaliable from most hardware stores,in the UK they go for around a quid..(1 pound)
Justin: Justin clamp has a standard 1/2 stud, cold shoe adapter, and a clamp
Bobbi: It’s called gaffers tape. It’s cheap, available at every camera store. There are arms that attach, but I find them to be a pain, and just extra money
