Question from Andrea: “I need opinions from those who have used the Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens…What do you use it for the most? Is it a great deal for $200? Or am I better off going with another lens that would be used for similar shots?”
Jacquelyn: DITTO QUESTION…
Sasha: I want it!!! If its auto focus, I think $200 is a good deal. I would love it for portraits. I am a fan of prime lenses and sometimes I want full body shots and my 50mm works, but with kids, sometimes you don’t want to have to stand so far away to frame it the way you want to.
Stephan: Nooo get that lens. It has greatly improved my photography. $200 is good price. Get it!!
Lauren: my 35 never leaves my camera
Brian: I love it. It’s always on my camera
Angie: Me either – I love LOVE this lens. I’ve done weddings, portraits everything!! Good money spent!
Tabitha: Its a really great lens.
Amanda: I have a crop sensor and use it ALL the time for portrait sessions!
Michelle: great info, i was just looking at this yday! how sharp is it with focus, i have d7000 nikon
Lindsay: If you’re switching from a zoom lens to prime you’ll notice a substantial improvement in sharpness.
Heather: It depends on what your using it for and what camera you have. I used it a bunch when I shot with my D7000 but when I switched to full frame D700 i use my 50mm more.
Michelle: I have the 50mm 1.8 but just interested to know about what others use this lens for 🙂 what would the difference be between the 2? I love doing portraits/family shoots and Landscape as well as Flowers, mostly use my macro for this though 🙂 Thanks for soooo much help guys, LUV this page 🙂
Jessica: This is the lens that’s on my camera 80% of the time– possibly more!! It’s a ‘get out of jail free’ lens 🙂 I love it—- can’t go wrong!!
Andrea: This is for the Nikon D3S just so you all know 🙂
Kathy: Will it work well for a D40?
Christina: I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 35mm lens. I have the 1.4 lens though and I use it for everything!
