Don’t Break The Bank With Your Photography Business

Don’t Break The Banks Photogs!

If you have looked at camera equipment, I’m sure you know how expensive it can be. You may be wondering how to purchase a camera without breaking the bank!

Here are some ways that you can buy your camera and still afford to feed your kids!

SLOW & STEADY

I know that you are super excited to jump right into your photography business, but if you are on a tight budget, it is a good idea to slow it down and save up before you get started. Put a little bit aside from each paycheck and work your up to your goal.

BUY USED

If you’re eager to start today, there are cheaper alternatives to getting your equipment sooner. You can buy used. If you can find a used camera that is in good shape, you can use that for sessions while you build your portfolio. Once you start charging, you can use that money to start saving for an upgrade.

APPLY FOR A LOAN:

Another option if you can try would to be apply for a loan or credit card. Some photographers opt for this because it is quicker than savings up to purchase their equipment. Then you just make payments each month until it is paid off. A lot of online camera suppliers also offer Bill Me Later, which allows you to have either 6 or 12 months to pay before they start charging interest.

RENT:

You can always pick a time frame to set up multiple sessions and rent equipment until you can afford to buy your own. This would also be a helpful test drive to assist you in making a decision on the kind of camera you want to buy.
